About the baker
A little more of the person behind the handshake.
Illiyin Morrison is a birth-trauma specialist midwife and published author who competed in series 15. Raised in a large family in Norfolk, she draws on Middle Eastern ingredients for sweet bakes and Caribbean flavours for savoury ones, making the kitchen another place where care and culture meet.
Illiyin Morrison baked on 15 (2024) of The Great British Bake Off. One Hollywood handshake is on file: Cinnamon-roll loaf cake, Signature (1 / Cake).
Her public work combines midwifery, parenthood support and food storytelling.
