Crystelle Pereira is a series 12 finalist whose bakes are a joyful meeting point for her Kenyan-born, Portuguese-Goan family heritage and the flavours she discovers while travelling. A keen singer as well as a baker, she became known in the tent for intricate, spice-led creations and thoughtful presentation.
Crystelle Pereira baked on 12 (2021) of The Great British Bake Off. 2 Hollywood handshakes are on file — Lily Nana’s Pickle Cottage terrine pie, Showstopper (6 / Pastry); Yuzu-coconut-black-sesame slices, Signature (9 / Patisserie semifinal). One of those moments came on a Showstopper.
She is quadrilingual and began baking seriously only a few years before Bake Off.
